In 2004 we planned a trip to China. I fell in my kitchen the morning we were leaving and broke my foot. I decided to go anyway and spent 3 weeks in China mostly by wheelchair. Our excellent tour guide commandeered visitors at the Great Wall to carry my wheelchair up 3 flights of stone steps to get to a platform where I could view the rest of the wall. He also hire a man to push my chair around while touring in Beijing.
