does anyone know of the hotel sam stayed at that she arrived by a boat? its in the jungle and i dont know if it was a lake or river, but from the travel itineraries, i cant tell whether its honduras or some where else.

I believe the one your talking about was in Samanthas' "Passport to Green Getaways" special. I don't know the name, but it was located near the Caribbean coast in Costa Rica.

Are you are thinking of a place in the rainforest where Samantha was not allowed to flush toilet paper, got sand kicked in her face at midnight by an endangered nesting sea turtle, and nearly cried at the sight of monkeys swinging through the trees?
If so, it was the riverside Tortuga Lodge, located in or near Tortuguero, Costa Rica.
She definitely arrived in a little boat and cruised the canals in another boat that said "Tortuga Lodge."

I tried to be helpful here, but my post has been sent to the moderation queue because I guess I used an objectionable word. I should have just said "Tortuga Lodge" in Costa Rica and left it at that.

Actually Leia I'm in the clear now (so far), but it's a shame Mother O has been in there for so long. I don't know the answer to the original question, though.

Thanks for thinking of me, Leia and Captain. It has been nearly five days now. I am completely baffled as to the reason.
A few days ago, a perturbing thing happened when I came to these forums and was informed that I had been banned from participating, yet I was still able to enter. On another Travel Channel Forum, I see that another viewer has had the same experience three times. So something is just not working right, or I really am in some sort of deep trouble. This is my first posting attempt since then, and we will see what happens.
Regarding my post that has gone missing since the wee hours of last Wednesday,the question posed brought to mind several hotels in warm climates that Samantha has arrived at by boat. In trying to narrow it down, I mentioned a few things that distinguished the Tortuga Lodge from the others, such as the presence of monkeys, nesting turtles, and the thing about the septic system which made this ecoresort quite different from Samantha's usual accomodations. Nothing that important or objectionable.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I click on "Post Now." If I disappear forever, you'll know why.

I’ve been fortunate, in that only one of my post, has ever landed in the hoosegow and it’s stay there was quite brief. In the case of the Capt and Mother O, these forums have become a virtual Guantanamo Bay. I believe Cruiseluver, has also been subjected, to some lenghty incarcerations.
