I'm heading to Coastal Chile in just a few weeks, and I'm still not sure what form of currency I should take. Some people tell me credit, some tell me cash, and then some people tell me that nothing is safe and I'm just going to get robbed. What should I do? Any advice from previous travelers to Chile?

I recommend you to take dollards, then when you are there go to a exchange currancy place and get chilean pesos, also credit cards are very practical, you can take money out of any ATM machine with your credit or bank card. But when I go to Chile I like to take cash and if I run out, I go to the ATM.
I hope you enjoy your trip to Chile, are you going with friends? do you speak spanish? it doesnt matter where you go, it is alwasy good to know the language, even a little bit...and for the people told you that you are gonna get robbed, dont listen to them, just enjoy the places you are going to.

Smile Buen Viaje!!!
