I've noticed that Passport to Latin America has not been on air for several weeks. Does anyone know what happened to the show that comes on Wednesday nights?

Congratulations on finding your way here to ask a question that is on everyone's mind! It is not always easy to figure out when Samantha's shows are on, as the Travel Channel changes things frequently without notice. There are many viewers such as yourself who become hooked and make the effort to figure it all out. They are known as the Brownheads, and this is where they hang out.
It might be helpful for you to know that you can click on "Passport to Latin America" in the blue sidebar to the left, them click on TV Schedule in the "Tune In" section. That will give you the schedule for the next month, with episode summaries. It looks like the shows will be airing weekdays from 1:00-2:00 P.M. E.S.T. and on Sundays from noon to 1:00.
Also, on Monday, Dec 10, I have detected an odd, but welcome mini marathon, with six of them on in the afternoon.
This online schedule does not always match what might be in your cable guide or what actually gets aired. It does give you some idea of when to look if you are trying to catch certain episodes of the twenty in this series that you might have missed. They are all well worth waiting for!
Even as I am writing this while watching the Coastal Chile episode, a message has just appeared on the bottom of my TV screen saying, "Looking for Samantha Brown? She's moved. Passport to Europe Fridays at 8."
So there you have it.
As for where is Samantha Brown herself?
She was last spotted dining in Tuscany.

It would surely be nice to hear from Samantha about now. She usually keeps in touch. Maybe she can't log-on either.There isn't much to talk about without her around. Come on somebody, start a new lively thread.

Gee thanks, davidschneidman. You aren't so bad yourself as an answer guy. I am happy to report that I was successfully able to edit two typos in that last post. Mod ben has said that we have an eight minute window of opportunity now, which is good news.
Nunesy, I am encouraging Father O to try his luck at posting here. He will see what he can do about your suggestion. Be on the lookout everyone, for "A New Lively Thread."

*chirp chirp* The crickets seem to be pretty lively on this forum... and that's it. I think no one's been talking because there are now new shows or episodes and Sam's been away since August. I would start a new interesting thread, but I can't think of anything. I'll leave that to Father O.

yeah the channel needs to leave Sam alone they keep moving her around so much I think she travel's more on the channel then she does for the show.

Leave Sam in a set time slot as it's getting extremely confusing for us fans to constantly have to find where you move her to every few months!

In defense of the Travel Channel, I think it is a good thing that they are changing the days and timeslots. It most likely will attract different viewers. It probably all has to do with ratings and advertising money. They are running a business, after all. As Samantha has said, we need to trust that they know what they are doing regarding figuring out who watches what,and when. Major networks sometimes move shows around in order to kill them off, but since Samantha will be around for awhile, that certainly is not their intention. She is their brightest star.
Did anyone notice that today was a national holiday and Samantha was on at her regular time?
I think this may be the first time in history that she has not been inexplicably ousted on a holiday!

Shouldn't this be about the time she'd be in Florida filming the new Christmas at Walt Disney World special?

If so, Samantha go check out Haunted Mansion, it's been updated.

orangefan yes but they move her way way to much. A move for ratings is one thing but it shouldn't take them 20 moves to figure out where the shows belong. If it does they need to fire those in the ratings department. No way for the shows to get good ratings if they are constantly making it hard for viewers (Regular at least) to find her as they end up losing viewers who can't find her. not every viewer visits this site.
