Samantha You really must be doing something right, because here is one person who has never written a fan letter, or contacted a television show, yet having happened upon your Macchu Picchu episode tonight here I am having braved a labyrinth of googling and site searching and forum registration and what not all to express a big 'thank you' for including me (the viewer!) on your journey. I have dreamed of visiting Macchu Picchu all my life and tonight you were not a travel guide or a perky tv personality, but instead quite literally an ambassador for dreams. You were an ambassador for dreams because it was clear that the trip to Macchu Picchu was a true lifelong dream of yours, and I was moved by the reverence with which you approached it. I had caught one of your shows before, and thought you were sweet in a kind of well-heeled backpacker way, but tonight - what authenticity! I wish you luck in your career Samantha Brown - thanks again for such a lovely journey to Machu Picchu, and the sense of renewal that you communicated. That was nice, and inspiring, tv. Way to go!

You need to see the rest of the series. While it's now in reruns (Sam, MORE, MORE!!!!) you can catch it for now at least on Wednesdays at 8 and at 7 you can catch the Europe series. And you're right she is an Ambassador to the world showing us all what the world has to offer with each country she visits. I'm persxonally hoping for a Japan show soon. I can offer some tips Sam as we travel to Japan annually!

Remarkably well put, Geoffrey. My compliments on your writing style and the sentiments expressed therein. And indeed, welcome to our forum too; now that you've found SB - and us - don't be a stranger.
Cheers,

Geoffrey, I'm the editor of the "Passport" shows, including the Machu Picchu episode, and I wanted you to know that we've posted your comment here in the PineRidge office for all of us to see. Thank you so much for taking the time to express your opinions on what we also believe is one of the best episodes in the series, and I do hope you'll check out some of the other shows as well (I'm personally very fond of Honduras).

I’d like to put in my two cents and say that while the entire series is good, the Machu Picchu episode is very, very special to me and its' specialness doesn't diminish with repeated viewings.

Machu Picchu was probably my favorite episode too. Though I do agree with Davidwhoedits in that the Honduras episode is wonderful, too.

I am bringing this post back up to the top because geoffrey1 reminds us that Samantha is an extraordinary host who touches so many viewers in different ways. I recently watched the Macchu Picchi Passport yet again and was reminded of how wonderful Travel television can be. I never tire of watching this one.

How refreshing to see a possitive post on the forum again. There's an indescribable something about Samantha that we've all perceived but can't explain. Geoffrey1 has come close. Having been to Machu Picchu, it's one of my favorites also. We all are looking forward to further adventures with Samantha. Ciao.
