Does anybody know the theme song of Passport To Latin America? I would really appreciate it. Will she come to Puerto Rico, it would be awesome to meet her

Maybe the song was written for the show. Please give more detail in your question. Do you want the lyrics or/and the notes so you can play it on an instrument? The song shouldn't be that hard to learn.

Hey Celine, I don't know...but I was trying to find it awhile ago. I can't find anything about it, I think it was written for the show.

Davidwhoedits can be discovered more fully if you click onto the Meet the Crew section on the left sidebar, under a slightly different name, but the title Senior Editor gives you a pretty good hint. He very graciously appears on occasion to enlighten us about things that were or even might become in Samantha's series. Needless to say, his presence is greatly appreciated here, and it says quite a bit about how much he thinks of Samantha's shows. His knowledge about background music used in these shows is, I think it's safe to say, unequalled, and he well may be able to tell you more about the theme. That's why davidschneidman has invoked the mysterious name. Of course he could also be on vacation...

Nope, I'm here. I really don't know anything about the theme song; it was commissioned by the Travel Channel and they just cut it into the episode after we deliver it. I think this is now the "Samantha Brown Theme Song" -- you'll notice they also included it in "Passport to Green Getaways," which PineRidge did not produce, and I'm sure you'll hear it again, with different background graphics.
Thanks again for the compliment, Capt! Enjoy "Mexico City" this week, everyone!

If you check the closing credits on some of the shows, there's a brief listing of the company that was contracted to do the theme music. I haven't looked them up, but the vocalist sounds very familiar to me. She's a dead ringer for Norwegian singer-songwriter Laila Samuels, who was lead singer for the girl-rock group The Tuesdays. If you visit her website there is a downloadable MP3 of one of her songs, so you can listen for the similarity. She has done a lot of work for other artists in recent years, and it's quite conceivable that she may have done a job like this; I believe she's in the USA frequently.

Hmm, she does sound a lot like whoever does the theme song.
