And I am not talking your nasty watered down Coors Light, I am talking serious beer, from Guinness to Delirium Tremens to Scherlenkau Smoked beer from Germany, to any and all great craft beers made in the USA, also what are you favorite beer/food pairings? Stout is wonderful with dessert, and with Black Forest Cake it is a divine experience..

Well to start then, I have had a good German smoked beer called Acht Schlenkerla from Bamburg with a citrus jerk pulled pork sandwich at my local pub here in Paoli, PA. Man that was fantastic, the beer pulled the salt right out of the pork and the smoke from the beer melted right into the smoky flavor of the pork. I have also heard that this beer is good with Mexican dishes with smoked chilis in them, but have yet to try it.

Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stoudt and my homemade beef stew with crusty bread and loads of butter. Mmmmm... meat, beer, butter - who could ask for more?!?

Wow, I just had a world class beer a barley wine from England called J.W. lees harvest ale, from December 2000. An amazing example of the brewers art, just as complex as a good port, but it goes better with Stilton, LOL

Went to Eulogy Saturday afternoon & had saffron moulles and fritjes with a framboise on tap and followed up with a busty blonde. Mmmmm.... good food & good beer. I will definately be hanging out there more often.

hmm...my favorite beer is a toss-up between Newcastle Brown ale--so rich, but with barely any bitter undertones--or Blue Moon's winter ale, Full Moon... and along with my brew, I like to have jerky--sweet and spicy, but not overly hot(I'm a bit susceptible to heartburn lol)--or pistachios...

Hey, ho...let's hear it for the microbrews! Wrap your hand around something local, if you can - or at least regional.
I particularly like stuff from Rogue Brewery - it all tastes like it's made from real food - which, I guess, it is. Dead Guy Ale and the Smoke Stout are outstanding, and they also have lighter stuff, if you like that sort of thing more. No I don't work for them - but maybe I should! `;-)
I know we're particularly fortunate in the Pacific Northwest with the microbrews (and breads. wine. seafood. and chocolate. and produce. restaurants. bookstores...it's nice here.), but you can probably get the Rogue stuff at a Whole Foods Paycheck Market or something. I think Rogue distributes nationally now.
But I'm still a sucker for a Guinness, I have to admit - especially if I can get it on tap. I do love a beer that requires a knife and fork...!
