You see this a story of layers of years , family, heritage and travel. if I an forced to find the name of the restaurant I will. Not a place for snobbish foodies. I just tell the story. My father Romeo Mansueti died early at 40, a semi famous biologist. I was around 10. My mother an amazing talented women raised 4 kids. we went to live in Spain for a year and came to Loreto Apurtino, to see the home of our paternal godfather. You might say does this have to do with food and I will tell you it will. But I think if I tell the story you will laugh We traveled on a Yugoslavien freigter to Spain. It was cheap to do.We had 2 American young teachers on the boat. One went crazy. She burned herself with cigarettes. Who knows why. They had to take her off the boat off the coast of Spain. That yugoslavian bread was so good with butter. I ate too much... there is more to tell. like rabbit with garlic sauce...con eho con aho the spelling is not right...the sauce was rich and brown, intense. There were flys around..who cared. I was 12 year old and I knew this stuff was some of the best stuff I had ever eaten, Had once never again paella from a spanish maid....semi close
