I was raised in sw Alaska. My childhood was going to yupiik eskimo village homes ripe with a melange of body oder, smoke, and the daily tundra catch. Dinner includes salmon, caribou, moose, beaver, muscrat,...etc. It's a place where noyone knocks and when you are asked if you want somthing to eat, "no" doesn't exist. Upon completion of your meal you are sent home with a plastic bag of mystery meat, a warm smile, and the invitation to come again.
