There are many food stories of Spain. (Note if I spell things wrong sorry.. need an editor) My sister had a helper Spanish when she had twins, She came and helped with babies. She could cook. Knew Paella.. Later when she returned to Spain.. I came for a visit with a friend Years later. To Barcelona The first night with friends we went to a waterfront restaurant. Big heaping platters of tiny fried fish one could consume whole. They were tiny and sweet. It was heaven. a green salad dressed with olive oil and sherry vinegar/lemon as a side. 2nd night.. a home cooked meal of small chickens ..squab who knows. Roasted with some kind of Fruit think apricot tiny sweet but savory with almond rice. garlic and onion as well.but lots of black pepper at the end.
