Hello everyone,

Husband and I are going to las vegas as our last big vacation before the baby is born...so it has to be great. Can any of you offer some suggestions on where to eat? Such a big place...so little time...I'd be much obliged for your guidance. Thanks!

haha,I posted this same question before I went last month. I didnt go anywhere fancy, just casual, but they were all good-- Bellagio buffet (get the Chilean sea bass), Witchcraft, Wolfgang Pucks and I wanted to try Delmonico (Emeril Lagasse's) and Mesa Grill (Bobby Flay) but didnt have the time. They're all at MGM Grand. Also, the best time I had was at the NYNY piano bar---so much fun!

Hey there you two! Always nice to see your postings! I was in Vegas in Dec. (all business I'm afraid) but we did slide over to the Hofbrauhaus for some traditional Bavarian food. If you don't mind the Alphorns blaring in the Beer Garden, you are all set! It is kitty corner to the Hard Rock Hotel. Congratulations to you and your husband!! You'll have to keep us up to date on boy or girl or BOTH - ha, ha!) You may want to stay away from the crap table as it may induce labor!! Have a great trip!

I sent a post earlier but it got held up by the censors - not sure why but oh well, there is a post coming! The Wynn apparently has some great restaraunts also...didn't have a chance to slide over there but that was a recommendation I had recieved. (Keep your eyes open for my 'delayed post'.

Hm, I think the "where to eat in the vegas question" might get asked at least once a month. lol. We ended up not going anywhere too fancy...hubby wanted to concentrate more on sight-seeing and didn't want to spend too much time eating (he's a lost soul. hehe). So nothing too fancy...went to the buffet at the sahara and Zefferino at the Venetian. I wasn't terribley impressed with either of them (The pasta at Zefferino was bland and Sahara was just an average buffet). I had a good time regardless though. And no gambling-induced labor. Oh, btw, I'm having a girl. Sweet!

Ms-Akosua, Congratulations! When is the estimated(?) time of arrival of your daughter? You never mentioned when the big day will be! I wish you a fast delivery and as much epideral as you would like! Pick any names yet? OR will you wait to see her?

I was happy to see your post and that you had a good time in Vegas AND that you didn't spring into 'labor' action while you were there! (Not sure if that is the kind of 'action' Vegas is used to seeing!) Yes, it does appear that Vegas has become a destination point lately. I found the food is definitely a hit or miss there...it's a gambling town so when it comes to finer dining, it could also be a gamble.

She's due october 5th...holy crap, that's closer than I thought. I'm looking forward to her arrival though. A bit nervouse of course. We're naming her Anna-Lorene after my mother and mother in law. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm also hoping for a fast delivery.

We're hoping to return to Vegas sometime next year, if Anna will allow.
