We all know about KABOB and Turkish Coffee.But there are so many interesting foods in this mediteranian country. First of all they are drinking tea like there is no tomorrow they start drinking tea early in the morning 'till bed time. They have one dish called KOKORACH (there is no bug in it)charcoal grilled intestine chopped and mixed with paprika and oregona served inside a french bread,i know sound is not very yum for most of us,but guys i assure you this food beyond the any food i ever taste , its simply gastrnomycal orgazm. Also they have one weird desert called TAVOUK GOGSU ,basicly it is a pudding with milk and shredded chicken breast and sugar of course but weird part when you eating this desert you can not taste any chiken shereded meat gives a great texture mostly served with vanilla ice cream. they have also Tripe soup , very garlicky mostly they drink this soup after bars and clubs, i tried it,,, belive me it works i was very drunk one night and my friends took me a soup vendor in istanbul i drunk this garlicky soup and next day i was feeling great again no headache no upset tummy.Also taste was great ...as far as i remember also they are very innovative about food too. they have a raki (sometimes vodka too)infused melon , god best fruit i ever eat. they inject raki(or vodka) to the melon when melon its so small and still growing on the ground... alcoholol and melon basickly growing together , 15 fays later they take the melon and putting in a fridge next day you have a most delish food in your mouth. they are morbidly drinking alcohol (esp Raki) beer is second most popular thing over there. Also they have a Adana Kabob with pistachio oh my lord when you taste this grilled lamb on skewer you feel like someting but i don't know what this thing (But its a very good feeling indeed) guys i am telling you i was there , this country is so cheap and they are so friendly of course food is amazing.
