During a trip to Miami Florida I had the opportunity to enjoy some wonderful dishes and wonderful desserts. I had Indian cuisine, sushi, chocolates and all kinds of yummy foods in great restaurants. The most interesting though was a trip to a food convention that had hundreds of local chiefs and local companies offering unique, exciting and tasteful foods. During this venture I had the opportunity of running into the most delightful treat I had ever had, that yummy treat was pineapple icecream! This was the first time I had pineapple ice cream in the halve of a real pineapple shell. And even though I have heard that this had been done before, I hadn't ever been able to experience myself. I can not speak for other makers of the pineapple ice cream in the pineapple halve, however I can say one thing. This was fantastic! The pineapple halve wasn't completely empty so you eat the pineapple after the ice cream and the ice cream was loaded with pieces of pineapple. It was rich and hit the spot very well! I loved it! it went very well with the weather too, for it was 102 degrees that day.
Miami has a wonderful way of introducing tropical fruits in their cuisines and I think it is great... From Key lime chocolate covered coconut candies, mangoes and to chunky pineapples swiveled into rich & creamy ice cream. It all taste great in Miami!
