I've been meaning to get this on here for what will be 2 years in October. My best friend & I headed to NYC for her 31st b-day & I arranged a b-day dinner at "Town". This was after my eating sprees at both Les Halles Being a very big Bourdain fan... I was more than excited when low & behold, they sat two suits right next to us party gals. Between sips of champagne, great red & shots of goose straight we started to listen to our closely seated worker bees. We couldn't believe it when we realized it was a network man (still don't know which one as I obviously don't watch the show they were creating) and a big producer woman. And they were speaking the devils tongue... brainstorming for the new Rachel Ray show on day time teli!! Ahhh, I thought the world was coming to its end!!! So, I'm posting this in hopes that Tony will see that us fans have his back. Though it might not have been the best attempt to stop the evil virus, rachelrayphilidus, my drunken friend & I decided to start conversation with the enemy. You see, in a quick bathroom run we had decided that the best way to attemp to eradicate the virus was to inturrupt all conversation & make it impossible for them to get any true plans for the show set! And let me tell you, we played up the ditzy Dallas girls to the inth degree! We had Ms. King World (the producer lady) convinced she needed to concentrate more on a Rachel Ray perfume, much like J Lo... And how maybe a music video would be nice since Rachel had such a fabulous voice -and she could feature Paris in the video, or a clothing line of aprons carried by Target. Of course they tried to humor us saying they could use our help during charity events by auctioning us off as dates... (That confirmed my suspicions of a prostitution ring within King World- but that's for another blog ;0) But we did exactly as planned... talking non-stop with them - even after their food was served. We even sent them shots when they finally thought they got rid of us and started all over again. I'm sure they just planned another meeting, but by God - we might have moved the start date of the new Rachel Ray show out by even a day! It was all in your patronage AB! Hope you were there in spirit along with all your fans!! Other than the show & books I haven't kept up on here, but congrats on the new family life. Best wishes, even though I am slightly heart broke ;0)

Guess I should mention that the service at Town was exceptional & even had a few of the wait staff in on our plan to stop evil in the world. The duck was fantastic & the wine list great. They even brought out the cake saying happy 21st for my girl, that's service! ;0)
