I had the great opportunity to take part in Eid in Afghanistan in 2005.

The main course was Sheep Kabobs. The seasoning that was used was something I haven't found in the states.

Although the meat itself was a little tough and chewy, the flavor was awesome. It also didn't have the gamey flavor like most sheep.

It was also served in a red sauce along with chicken.

Very good eating and I'm hoping I get to go back and do it again.
