I was in Paris a few months ago. One of the best things I ate, believe it or not, was a simple crepe slathered with nutella...man alive I'd like to live in Paris.

I second that suggestion. And marrons chauds vendors are typically everywhere too. Closer to Christmas, marrons glaces (candied, glazed chestnuts) are also a nice treat... oh how I miss them so...

My first meal in Paris was at a creperie in St. Germain. It was a cold, rainy night, and as my friends and I were walking out of our hotel, we met a local and he suggested a place a few blocks away. He wanted to join us for dinner, but the friend that he was interested in politely told him we just arrived and wanted to explore on our own when we got to the place. I thought it was cruel, but we did get a good meal. Who said the French weren't friendly? I had great crepes with ham and cheese. The only problem was that it was raining so hard when we walked there, it took a few days to find it again since no one noticed the address.
