Hi I'm Tammy, Im from Central Pa near Williamsport. It's about 2 hrs away but it may be possible to join you on occasion. Im new to Metal Detecting, just got my first detector in March and have a great time with my 7 yr old daughter when we go treasure hunting...as she calls it. My husband will go out with me on occasion, but he isnt into it as much as I am. Im not sure he would enjoy rock hounding or not but it wouldnt matter much if I had someone else to go with Smile

You might want to try joining a local mineral club. Here in Reading there's one at the museum which meets 2nd Tuesday of the month. There's one in the Lancaster area too. They host field trips to quarries and locations that yield collecting material.
