After watching Bourdain for years and very happy about Zimmern. Hell, they even saved cash & treasures when Becy Worley left. The travel channel has made some great shows.
"Life's a trip" is definately not one of them.
The choice of host, a voice actor, may sound good, they were probably looking for the next Mike Rowe, but Andrews, is a droll, lifeless, clueless 'host", who can't even fake enthusiasm for what he's doing. His irrevence may seem like the perfect thing to draw in the thirty something crowd, but this guys has offers no cultural insight, nothing new, he just motions his way through the show, seemingly bored by his surroundings. He even seems annoyed by having to get out of his NYC and starbucks comfort zone, regarding Japan and new Zealand as with a air of disdain that they don't conform to the life he's used to.
And come on. There was at least three minutes of him chewing a steak, with a fake smirk as if he was peeved to be there. This whole show seems more like a carl's Jr. commercial than a travel channel show.

Agreed. There's more than one or two solid reasons to get this show off the air or to at least change the host. His smarm and snark have none of the charm of Anthony Bourdain, if anything he is the epitome of the ugly travelling American. Dump this jerk

Um, yeah - don't like him either. But he's not an "ugly" American - he's Canadian. Listen to the way he speaks = Canadian.

Anthony Bourdain (New Jersey) and Zimmerman (New York/Minn) are on the other hand - American.

Who's ugly and not interested in cultures other than their own now?
