One of my most favorite parts of the show is in the beginning when Richard gives the opening history. He is awsome when he tells the story because he keeps a blank face and stops his voice at exactly the right time as if he was telling a story around a camp fire. That man is great I would like to see him partcipate in more night visuals because he truly knows what has gone on at a location.
No, I don't believe it was health reasons, I believe it was a parting of ways...If you go to the "Links for Newbies" you can go to Richard's site and email and ask about it. I agree with all of you about his narrating, I really enjoyed it.
Richard will be greatly missed. I always thought he should hold a flashlight under his chin when he told the histories because he was so good at making them spoooooky.
Dear Richard your show would be really nice if you could get the cast members to stop screaming and cussing all the time...You cant even hear whats happening on the show due to all this crap...You would think that if they want to search for ghost then they wouldn't be so darn scared and let the viewers hear the spooky things that are going on around them..Thank you Michelle Greeneville Tennessee
+1....Richard's historical introductions and his calm, even-keeled approach to this field of study is what's missing nowadays. MH needs less drama and more of his level-headedness,.....we want you back, Richard.
The information I have is that Yvette basically just called Richard up one day and told him his services were no longer needed. At the time, I signed a petition somewhere online asking Most Haunted to reconsider, but I don't think that petition even got off the ground.
I am personally dejected that Richard is gone...I hope what Darkgenius stated isn't true, for he probably would never come back on as a guest...it's too bad...I agree that he was calm and level-headed...when he got scared, you KNEW something was really happening...all the others seem to get really scared quickly and he always held it together...he will be missed...and I think the show will feel it until someone else steps up to replace him...not likely though..
You have all said "IT ALL" - Richard is fabulous, down to earth, very well educated, knows his history, makes it all come alive, and is a TRUE ASSET to the show, it certainly will not be the same for me - especially if David Wells is missing to !
Not to fret everyone...Richard Felix has his own website which lets everyone know all the things he's doing. He i believe was doing night visuals on his own with a group and the public is able to sign up to attend. He's not sitting idle, he's still ghost hunting! Check out his website!
I too loved Richard! I'm sorry but I don't like the new historian.. she's a little too dramatic in her delivery of the history.. Please bring Richard back!! Michelle
Richard was the best! I agree that the new historian is overly dramatic and I don't think she knows history very well. The show has certainly taken a "dive" since he and David Wells left it. Maybe they could start their own show...it would probably be a big success!
I am a newbie, but I must agree w/ what everyone is saying about Richard. He was great. The new historian, Leslie is just way too dramatic. She wasn't too bad on the live shows, but she just "too much" on the show. I saw her on another show about hauntings. She worked in the castle where Mary, Queen of Scots (I think) was held for years before her execution. Part of her duties was to dress up as Mary and deliver a monologue as Mary herself. She said that "something" happened once whilst she delivered her speech. Also, hello to everyone!
