I don't know if anyone else here has noticed, but this season and towards the end of the previous season pebbles started being thrown at the team as well as prolifict knocking. To me it seems very fake, someone off set doing all that crap. In the years past, hardly a pebble fell and rarely did we hear knocking. So, is because they're worried they'll be taken off the air in the U.K.or the U.S.? Are their ratings slipping? What gives, there is no way all that stuff would be the center point of their investigations if they were really doing a good job. Oh and what happened to the small amount of scientific gadgetry they were using? Was to too like a real investigation? Ok. I watch the show, hoping that one time it will be a real haunting, not Cark and Stewart making arses out themselves and obviously faking stuff when it just the two of them. I mean really, the show was better before they started trying to make it scarier. Why not just go to the place that's haunted and do a normal investigation without all the added stunts and fakery?
i agree with you 100%. i want to hear the recordings to see if there is anything on it, or the video to see if anything is there. all that rock throwing and all that knocking is just too much. also they never go anywhere where nothing happens and ghost dont always show up on command. ghost hunters whent to chillingham and found the reason for the sound like footsteps. it was a loose window frame. they did find some unexplainable things and they thought it was haunted but nothing like most haunted put on. please try to be more seintific and less for the thrill, which is not a thrill anymore. all that(something touched me or something whispered in my ear) is not proof to me because anyone could say that. i want real proof because i lost my husband 4 years ago. he was only 46. sometimes i think i feel him around. sometimes i can feel him laying there huging me. so stop all the faking please.
I've been watching the repeats of the show from years ago and I have yet to see any stones being thrown. Was wondering if it was just me until I saw your post! The newer seasons you see it on every episode. I love to watch the show, but I don't buy that it's very serious anymore. Notice on the older shows they show the investigator doing baseline readings before they go into the buildings? Newer shows rarely mention that now.
Maybe this will be passed along to the cast and producers of the show. It seems ludicrous for them to try so hard. It makes them look rediculous. I myself think they were better when they actually started to carry around equipment to verify the unexplained, instead of having someone off camera throw rocks or stomp their foot. I certainly hope they get the act together.
Because you can't do a paranormal investigation in one night and get a lot of stuff. If the night is going slow MH will start faking for ratings especially Stuart and Karl. On Ghost Hunters they have a camera crew follow them around on some investigations that don't make tv because so little happened and sometimes they leave the crew behind. They even have a great black mist they filmed back before there was a show.
If everyone knew how sometimes dull a paranormal investiagtion can be so few would want to do it.
I completely agree with everyone's posts...Derek started all of this off with his flambuyont ridiculous acts...I think that when nothing is happening they start doing things, maybe subcontiously to try to get a response or proof...the only investigators that I respect on the show are David Wells, Richard Felix, and Ciaran O'Keefe....they seem to always stay cool, try to rationalize what may be happening, and never just state that it MUST be paranormal. All the others seem to make stuff up just for ratings...With all of these cameras, sound crew, and investigations at obviously haunted locations...WHERE IS THE IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE???? Ghost Hunters seem to get good stuff almost everywhere they go...and when they don't it's because they are able to prove what is going on...Hate to say it, but I'm leaning towards that show more and more...just because their not about ratings...their about PROOF!
TOTALLY AGREE!!! I have grown very tired of MH faking crap. It gives a bad name to people who take this seriously. I have a real hard time with their credability due to them not trying to debunk anything, wait I take that back, in the old episodes yes, they atleast offered other explainations. But, now any little noise they automatically assume it is paranormal. I have to give it up to TAPS because they try to debunk and there are sometimes when they go on investigations that nothing happens. IDK just my thoughts... MH - 0 TAPS - 1
Thats not even the worst of it. Seeing these guys getting "possessed" every other episode turned me off to the program entirely. The stones, the noises and the poor acting have pretty much done this on in for me. I now change channels. It seemed to be a pretty good show at the beginning, but it has slid. Makes me wonder if the first season was all bunk as well.
i really want mh to step up and do the job they claim to be doing. when gh went to a place that was a setup they never even tried to put it off as ghosts and really got mad that someone would pull something like that. some of us just want the truth. we want to know if there is really something there. we want to know for the loved ones we have lost. when you fake it so bad that everyone knows its just a joke its like slapping us in the face and saying that we are so dumb we could never know the differance. and i really get upset when someone thinks that they are that much smarter than everyone else.
whats the difference. they say they are investigating haunted places. to me if you are investigating you are trying to find out if its haunted are not. if you assume that every place is haunted you are not investigating, you are just trying to get ratings finding a haunting every where you go. i can go anywhere and say ( did you hear that, did you see that.) it means nothing. i get it is all entertainment for mh but at least have the guts to say we could care less if its haunted, we just want you to watch. and yes gh does try to debunk every place thats how you find the real from the FAKE.
Yes, I have noticed the pebbles and knocking as well. These happenings have been going since last season into this season. I am having a hard time believing that a "ghost" can knock on bricks, stone, wooded doors, etc. How can this be or is it energy brought upon. The pebbles coming from nowhere are always coming from the camera crew side or the ceiling. How do we know if there are any people throwing the pebbles. I dont know, dont get me wrong, I like MH and watch it all the time, but these occurances are always happening in every show. I keep watching to see if there is anything new going to occur. So, until then, I keep watching but agree 100%.
This is JROB. With you on this. Getting used to this new computer...love all the stuff coming down on the discussion line. Most Haunted is subjective....we as viewers experience what they interpret...as a serious person on this phenomena which I do believe will be proven under the right circumstances Most Haunted is not only a let down but perhaps a disservice to those who are really trying to get to the facts with the technology currently available. It is just another entertainment vehicle. You cannot help but notice the array of "ghost" hunting programs on the tube. Evidentially ghosts are a money machine for several networks.... Only a few are cutting edge and worth watching.
I am so glad I am not the only one realizing this. I tape the show every week and half way through it I want to shut it off. I am tired of the pebbles and the other thing is the table levitating. All these episodes have the tables being lifted and shaken like crazy. I'm sorry, I'm not buying it. The other thing I noticed is there are no replays anymore so if you don't catch the sound the first time, then you're out of luck.
Each member of the cast seems to have a particular forte. Yvette gets the breathing in her ear or says, "Did you hear that?" perpetually ( and no we didn't because you keep talking and screeching); Carl goes into a coma for unknown reasons that are never explained and has to be searched for in the most far-off places; Stewart gets touchedand harps on about it making it a case of "methinks thou dost protest to much". It's the same every week. Tables tipping with no camera shot to catch the underside and prove no-one is lifting it, the glass flying across the table with always a hand or two on there guiding it, night vision cameras pointed at the damn faces of the people holding them.....what's the point in that? I love the concept but am so fed up with these people I am now yelling at the TV screen in frustration.
