From Alaska; take a blue tarp, fill it with fish parts, tails, guts, heads...bury the tarp in the ground and leave it there for a couple of weeks. Over a period of time liquid will form at the bottom of the tarp as the fish rots and ferments. This simi-liquid ooz is called "Stink" and is eaten with the fingers. I'm not making this up either. I've lived up here for 38 years, and have never had the guts to try it. It is popular in several villages along salmon streams and the resultant goo is consumed during potlatches at the end of the fishing season before the snow falls.
