The Plaza Beach Resort on St Pete Beach in Florida is truly a perfect place for families. The hotel itself is owned and operated by the nicest family. You can see the parents and children at the hotel working everyday. They really make you feel as if you were at your “Home away from Home”. They have a beautiful 39-room hotel right on the beach. A large pool overlooking the beach, wireless internet, mini-golf, shuffleboard, a human size chess board, fishing poles for kids, a large playground, basically everything you can ask for. Most important their rates are very reasonable, actually the best rates on the beach. I shopped around before staying there and it was the best value. I will be returning back next year with my family because we had so much fun and there was so much to do.

St. Pete's beach is a great option for a stay when visiting the attractions in Orlando. The beaches are absolutely beautiful and good for shelling. It's about a 2 hour drive to Orlando - you can rent a car or use Disney Tours for transportation.
