Hi,

I am looking for ideas for a great resort for a family reunion next summer. Moist of the family is between 25 & 55. I am looking for many sports, spa would be nice too.

Any suggestion in NY. Nj, PA, or Ct.?

Thanks,
Lynne

I don't know about family reunion resorts, but my family has been getting together for vacations for the last few years and this years was SURPRISINGLY fun. Trust me, the idea of tooling around a houseboat on a lake in Kentucky/Tennessee didn't sound fun to this 23-year-old, but we had a blast! Check out the site of the people we rented it from: http://www.hollycreek.com/. We had my best friend and I at age 23 ranging up to my grandparents at age 76. It was fun just spending time together, chilling in the hot tub, playing games, cooking and getting my mom to go off the slide. I'd definitely look into it! Oh and if you want to ask me questions, e-mail me at dabug@ksu.edu. I'd be happy to help! If you have any prior vacays you've enjoyed for your family, I'd appreciate your ideas as well!

Thailand is the land of golden temples, tropical beaches and forested hills. For sightseeing and travel, Thailand has few equals. From dazzling temples and palaces to awe-inspiring World Heritage Sites; from timeless rural settlements to vibrant towns; from idyllic beaches to national parks where wild nature rules.

The various activities in thailand such as Spa, Thai Food&Cooking, Adventure, Shopping, Diving, Golf etc.

Hi Lynne,

My family likes to gather in Gulf Shores, Alabama. We rent a house for a week, right on the beach. The Alabama Gulf Coast is beautiful, and there are other things to do like horseback riding, golf, fishing, hiking...If you're interested, you could probably find some good deals at www.thebeachiscalling.org.
Good luck!

If you would consider heading to Maine (beautiful!), we had a great reunion at Sebasco Harbor Resort on the coast. They had organizers that helped set up everything - including a family lobster bake on the beach. The kids can go to a "camp" every day so they have fun things to do while the parents play tennis or hang on the beach, play golf etc. It was such a relaxing time - we loved it. Here's a link so you can check them out - www.sebasco.com

The Ozark Mountains of Arkansas? Only a 3 hour direct flight to Memphis or Little Rock - Fun for all the family as there is just LOADS on offer - and hardly any other tourists, so you feel as if you have the whole world to yourself - including the 550 mile lake, Lake Norfork - plus great trout fishing in the White and Norfork Rivers - rock climbing, kayaking, water skiing, hiking to waterfalls and horse riding. This place is great for groups up to 10 people: http://www.anedodi.com - but there is a resort down the road for extra guests - not as fancy, but would sleep an extra 40 people! Then you could all convene at the private lodge on 12 acres with pool during the days or for dinner etc...
