The Linesville Spillway is located on the Linesville-Hartstown Road by Pymatuning Lake, which is between PA and OH. The attraction began in 1934, when visitors randomly would feed the fish. Many years later, thousands of families come year-round to continue the fun. The facilities were re-done 3 years ago by the state. Visitors can bring their own bread, or buy bread/fish food at the concession stands. It is a cheap/free experience. There is a concession stand to buy human food, as well, and even t-shirts, sweatshirts, coffee cups, postcards, etc. People stand along the walkway to throw bread to the thousands of carp that come to the water's edge to be fed. The ducks, geese, and seagulls will even fight for the food. Going down to the "bowl" is entertaining to see hundreds of carp fighting for bread. For more information, reply or look up images of the Linesville Spillway on Google. I am a 3-yr employee of the Spillway. Any questions, feel free to ask. I personally hate fish. It's kinda gross watching them, but pretty funny and entertaining Kids are always amazed. Families from all over America and even foreign visitors come each summer. It never closes, although the concession stands are only open seasonally. In 2008 the state was trying to ban the feeding of bread to the fish, but so many people protested that they went back on it. So feel free to bring your own bread!
