My two teens want to go to the beach and so do I, not that I want to lay there for an entire week. But my husband is reluctant and says that a 'beach' doesn't sound 'fun' to him. He originally wanted to go to NYC, but I told him that traveling there with 2 teens and a 1 1/2 yr old, will not only be expensive, but crazy. Everyhing is so over-priced. Please help, how can we find a 'happy-medium' or am I wrong about NYC?
Thanks,
Cece

I don't know how much of a 'medium' this would be, but have you ever thought of going to a dude ranch? I heard that they are trying to keep thier prices the same... even in the changing economy. If I know anything about teenage boys... horseback riding, hanging out with other teens, shooting, rafting, and learning how to be a cowboy would be right up thier alley. A lot of ranches offer spa accomadations... going out on a limb here, but that sounds like something you'd like. Oh, did I mention the food? A lot of dude ranches hire gourmet chefs and, while my favorite dude ranch doesn't, you would swear that they do! Not exactly sand and surf but I am *positive* that you would all enjoy it!!
