I normally don't email people on TV, but my husband and I always watch your show and I read on the internet that you were coming to Milwaukee soon via one of the Bartalotta's resteraunts. I hope that you are not filming a show at one of those places. They are not what food here is all about unless you like overpriced food with bad service. I am sure that you won't encounter these things there, but if you were a local, chances are you would. I LOVE food, to eat it and cook it. Check out Speed Queen BBQ, Reynolds' pasties, one of our many breweries, Usinger's (pronounced YOU-zingers)and you must partake in a local brat fry (short A sound, not the same pronunciation as a poorly behaved child),including many German and Polish dishes. We have a wonderful Hispanic community here too. Also. try Held's cheese market about 20 miles north of the city on US41, with 20 year old cheddar so sharp, it'll pucker your butt cheeks. Eat where we eat, not where rich people who think it's trendy to eat. Please don't let us down.
And if I knew where to get a suckling pig crispified by a blow torch in this hemisphere, I would. |
