Most of the time, TV makes being a chef such a glamorous profession and not the amount of high pressurer and stress that last nights show brought out. I understand why Tony knocks a few back. That was a very enlighting show.

I agree. Seemed like the live version of what he writes about in Kitchen Confidential.
On a snarky note though, what does Tony cooking at Les Halles have to do with Travel Channel? He didn't go anywhere, seemed more like a Food Network show. |

Consider it a personal journey, not a physical one, of one man seeing if he can ever go home again. NR is totally Tony's show - it's food and it's travelogue, but he still can (and does) shape each episode into whatever his vision is. |

Ripert held down his end as if he works a station every night. I would be willing to bet he kicked someone off their station at Le Bernardin so he could get back into "shape" if you will.

I wonder how long it has been since he had to answer "yes, chef"? I was great to see him rocking the Global's once again!

As opposed to his silly "Holiday Special", I really enjoyed Into the Fire. In fact, my wife, who rarely sits down to watch No Reservations as she finds AB to be an arrogant, pompous and self-absorbed drunk who had the good forune to step into you know what with this show, enjoyed the behind the scenes look at life at Les Halles.
