Tony,

I am devoted fan of your show and I look forward to Mondays just because of No Reservations. I even watch the re-runs. I was so happy about last night's episode that I could not wait to see it. I am a NYC girl, better yet I am a Bronx girl but I have to say that I was very dissapointed in your representation to the world of the BRONX!!! When you tell people that you are from the Bronx right away they make a face and think of negative things and they only good thing they have to say or ask about the Yankees. There is more to The Bronx than that!

It seemed like most of the show was focused around dumplings, noodles and beef, no offense we love that and will eat any day of the week. So that was Queens and Brooklyn. Your little "tour" of The Bronx was so short that it was insulting! I could not wait for you to show the world some of our cutlure, our poeople and most importantly OUR FOOD.

My dear, I think you missed it. What you needed to do was to take a local Bronx resident take around in a "day in the life" and show you the real Bronx. Where you can eat arroz con pollo, pernil con arroz con guandules y platanos maduros, pasteles, alcapurrias, sancocho and many other Latin treats - a place like Brisas del Caribe on Castle Hill Avenue - this place rocks!!! (take the 6 train to Castle Hill Avenue) I go there every chance I get and you know what I miss it the second I leave. Or how about City Island?? A major, major part of The Bronx at the end near Westchester, where you can eat some of the best and freshest seafood areound. Did you think about going there? You see I moved to PA seven years ago and I miss my city like no one else can. I miss my family, my friends, my culture and of course I miss the food, there is no place like New York - there is no place like home.

Tony - you left me hungry for more. I hope that you do another show on the "Outer Boroughs" and focus more on other parts of our city. This defenitely calls for a Part II.

Indy
