To Mr. Bourdain
I don't mean to jump the gun. But if the Thailand episode is all what had played last Monday, it disappointed me. It was very unfortunated that you went to tape you show in Thailand at the terrible time for the country. And that damping your show as well. I must say that you sticked it out very well as usual. I am big fan of your so don't get me wrong.Almost half of the show were done in BKK China Town or waht the local called "Yoawarat" and about Chinese food. There are so many places and many real Thai dishes that your show can bring to the world but didn't. The BBQ chicken at Rachadumnern stadium is great and very accurated. That area produced the best BBQ chicken in Thailand.
I would say you have to go back and do it again. Next time go btw. Dec.-Feb. that is the best time to go to Thailand. I was born in Thailand but living here for so long- the US - I will go with you if you like and take you around, at no cost for the show. I am in TV business as well and I know what it takes to produce a show. It will be service to my country that I was born. It's all about next life in Thailand that is true because Thailand has 99% Buddist population. There are so many Chinese in Thailand , that is true but not 60%. I really like your show in Loa. That is a very good one. If I jumped the gun, please forgive me. Still watching you show. I supposed my email address is in your mailing system.
