I'm just finishing the Laos show. Anthony met and ate with the family with the guy who lost a leg and an arm to an unexploded bomb. As Anthony sat with him he said "what do you say to such a person, pass the rice?" In any case I can only imagine you feel bad for the guy. Of course a lot of other stuff has happened to a lot of other people, BUT, you came in contact with these people. Why not do something for them. Anthony's hard work (of course) has brought him fame, wealth, and connections that can get things done. Whether it's his money, the crew's money, or the Travel Channel's...why not?

<<see the other Laos posting>>

I made a suggestion. Locals, many themselves disabled, making limbs for Laotians (or Cambodians) who are also injured.

It's not a new concept: I believe Vietnam vets were at one time involved in a similar project.

Might take a relatively small donation to get something like this off the ground.

Maybe, he had done something for them off camera & doesn't like "blowing his own horn" on TV. That could make him appear self-righteous or patronizing, which he would want to avoid.

Also, just showing the family's plight on a TV program, which airs around the world, certainly does a lot for them.
