Yes, god bless the bushmen. I have to hand it to Tony for remaining gracious despite his obvious horror. Hopefully he travels with Cipro on hand!

The Namibia show was my favorite of all-time! It was a great reminder that if you really travel, there will inevitably be some unpleasant experiences. In retrospect, the richest and most rewarding travel usually includes at least a few moments that are far from glamorous. The Namibia episode really made me smile. Not only did it bring back memories of some trying (and now humorous) travel experiences of my own, but it also was heartening to see that even Tony Bourdain found the limits of what he is willing to endure for the authentic travel experience. And eating that egg cooked in the dirt and dung to avoid offending his hostess makes him a travel hero in my eyes.
