Hi all! I just wanted to extend a great big thanks for the Korea episode. I was adopted from South Korea when I was 3 months old (I'm 22 now). I love learning everything that I can about my birthplace, but can't ever get enough.
I know the chances are very very slim, but if you happen to sift through these boards, Nari, I'd love to learn everything you can tell me about South Korea! -Katie |

Well, if you really want to learn more about Korea -- my parents lived there longer than most foreigners (30 yrs) -- go there and teach English! Or contact the Korean embassy and ask for stuff.
I don't recall which Korean episode I saw -- Tony's or that other foodie -- but they left out one Korean food that the Koreans don't even like to talk about: DOG MEAT. When the Olympics were there, I heard all the dog soup places were moved from the main thoroughfare. After the Olympics, they were moved back. |
