I was so excited to see the visit to Le Veau D'Or in Manhattan. My Grandmere was cashier there until the late seventies and i would stop in to meet her after work . While she counted her drawer from lunch i would go into the kitchen for some chocolate mousse or other delicious dessert. My grandmother met some interesting people there , like Jacques Cousteau, Linda Eastman, the Guerlain perfume house execs, etc.I used to help address the christmas cards to their patrons and run off the menus(which haven't changed) on this gel manual copier- one at a time!I miss living in NY and this was a great treat !
