This series will surely be fabulous, as all work submitted to the public by AB has been, thus far.
I had the pleasure of meeting, and chatting with Mr. Bourdain at a publicity/cookbook signing dinner in Seattle.I identified myself as a restaurant chef, (amongst a sea of food network viewing types,) and he made extra time to chat.
Hell of a guy.Just like how he writes....smart, smarmy, friendly, sharp. He worked the room like a pro, but was quite concerned about how the high-end restaurant serving HIS food was handling things.Chef to the end. As a person on the business end of a Global, I respect Bourdain. His work is from the heart....

My sons cook in Portland, Ore. The oldest got to meet Bourdain at a book signing, and, when he told the man that he was a chef, he asked if my son would like to join him outside for a smoke. Naturally, Lamont agreed. He told me that spending those few moments with Bourdain, who truly understands his world and why he loves to cook, was great. I myself, while not a cook anywhere but in the home, would be thrilled to meet the man, to listen to him for several hours over something I'd never eaten before but he said I just had to try.

I was at the same book signing in Seattle at Brasa. The highlight of the night for me was when AB stopped by the table and recognized me from a previous encounter. I was absolutely shocked. Anyways, we chatted a bit and he ended up eating most of my appetizer...poor guy hadn't had more than booze and nicotine all night! A true gentleman...not to mention those very kissable lips!

Hiya B!
That was a fun and lovely evening at Brasa. My hubbie and I had the best time, certainly because Tony was a most gracious and fun host.
I have a piccie of AB and myself that my dearest snapped. It hangs proudly on one of the rails in the restaurant kitchen that I run.
I've bought all my cooks copies of Kitchen Confidencial..........
