Really enjoyed this episode too. Is there a commercial source for the bartarga(sp?), the fish roe used on the pasta both sliced and powdered?

Awesome show! Who is the little girl you carried the entire time?! Are you a proud father or are children just drawn to you?

We really enjoyed the Sardinia show. We watch you regularly, you are a breath of fresh air. By the way what happened to your cigarettes? I miss them but I do understand you being with your family. I must take my hat off to you. You have a beautiful wife and daughter and how lucky are you to have extended family in Sardinia. My husband worked in Sardinia for 2 years so he really enjoyed the show. I always enjoy your show. Whenever you decide to go to Cuba give me a call since I was born there and like your wife I have lots of good Cuban food memories to share with you and your American viewers. Keep it up! Don't stop drinking!!

I have long loved Tony. I loved the cigarettes (gave them up years ago) I love the drinking (still hard at work) and always thought there was a sexy mystery about him. .... you know the whole bad-boy image.
But the Sardinia show gave me a new appreciation and love for him.... maybe a transferance even.... I'm in love with Ottavia. I know he doesn't plan on including her in the cheesy way FN does but she is a winner. Beautiful, smart, funny and gorgeous... brava Tony... enjoy this time in your life and thanks for intoducing us to the two beauties that got you to quit smoking. You earned it! |

Never knew much about Sardinia, so I was absolutely mesmerized by this episode. It's the one time where I wished my T.V. was equipped with Smell-O-Vision!
I was wondering if we would ever have the privilege of seeing the Missus and Tony's tyke. I'm glad we finally did. Tony is a Cancer, the family sign, so it's without question that he is a devoted family man. Even so, watching him interact with his two gorgeous ladies showed a surprisingly softer side of him that made me a little misty-eyed. Tony assured his audience that he wasn't going to go all Bill Cosby on us and start dragging his family around on his travels. As charming as Ottavia and the little girl were, I'm rather glad about that. While I enjoyed seeing Tony the Family Man, I would terribly miss Tony the Snarky/Tony the Bad Attitude in very short order! Outstanding work, Tony! |

Beautiful episode. I'd rank it with Indonesia, Spain and Tokyo as one of the best.
However...you go all the way to Sardinia and you don't even MENTION casu marzu, Tony? I wouldn't expect you to eat it (in fact, I believe it is illegal), but along with all the wonderful food available there, a shout-out to the dark underbelly of Sardinian cuisine would be nice. |

Loved it! Tony has a gorgeous family and it's kinda nice to see him look genuinely happy.
However, give us a little taste of the snark next season. I think he still has it in him! |

It was great to see his family & learn a bit of his fimily life. I always wondered about that. It helps complete a picture of him.
