I enjoy your show very much but your one on Romania was an insult to those wonderful people. I have been going there for 6 months a year for 10 years. I agree Castle Bran is a horrible example of Romania and your train and drive were horrible. Maybe you should have had a Romanian friend (happy to introduce you to one ) show you around instead of a Russian. Yes they are not well liked and the feelings are mutual. Just reciaved a message from my fried "do not worry about it..we are used to being shown in a bad light" was her message. Thamks for making her right. You should show a wedding celebration with all the ethnic foods how about showing Constanza (the beach) or Sinai in the mountains ? Ok enough grumbling still enjoy your show but still think you should apologise to the Romanians for your show about them.

I watched the show about Romania and I have to say I was very disappointed. I was born in Brasov and lived there 3 years of my life. I had the chance to get back and I loved Brasov, the mountains, the Dracula Castle and Peles Castle that you did not visit. It was a bad idea to bring a Russian friend to show you the country. Romanians do not like Russian people beause of the Russian communism era. This is like taking a Greek friend to show you Turckey, this is exactly the same insane purpose. You showed all the cliches of the country. You did not make any efforts to discover the country and its people. Normally you do it well all over the continents. I hardly recognized Romania through your show. It was like fake to me.

I have followed you on your numerous trips around the globe, and have found your experiences delightful, insightful, and humorous. Not the same can be said, however, about your trip to Romania (October 26, 2009, "No Reservations" episode). I have also read an earlier statement you had posted on your blog regarding a previous journey to that country. I think you have done the Romanians and their country a big disservice by looking for places and people that are not at all characteristic of what Romania is all about. It reminded me of "Borat", and being offensive toward people who welcome you in their "home" (on and off camera) is just tacky. I agree with the previous two postings: maybe had you taken a native tour guide along, you would not have ended up having such a bad experience in a place that has a lot to offer. Dracula is really not what Romania is all about, and it is a shame that you have focused on this theme for a return visit to this country. You might not go back there again, but, if you change your mind, it would probably be a good idea to leave Zamir behind. You might have a totally different opinion of Romania, its people and their hospitality.
