I love how anthony bourdain shows how stressfull and physicaly straining working in a kitchen can be. I have been working in kitchens for 7 years now. I got my first job as a breakfeast cook and then moved to a fine dinning resturant. I have been there for 4 and a half years, and although the kitchen is painfull I have to tell you when you are good at what you do it is no where near as bad as they make it look. As a matter of fact it is very satifing like he made it sound at the end of the show. Durring a shift it is a amazing high to put out food, looking down at a plate and knowing that whoever gets that plate is going to love it makes you feel so good. The time you spend and the memories you have with those that you go into battle with everyday are like no other, I know I will never forget the time I have spent with my guys. And line cooks have so much fun. Thank You Anthony for this show, it is realy nice to see someone pay hommage to the line cook

Gotta' say that this was by far my favorite episode of Anthony's show, and it made me do a web search to see how I could tell him how much I enjoyed it...seeing how a top-notch chef works and handles the stress in a working kitchen from his own point of view...very VERY good episode, as well as educational...and yet I'm still looking forward to working in a top-notch kitchen :-).

Just finished watching this episode and I must say I loved every minute of it. The show had me smiling as I got a glimpse of the flaming crucible that formed our beloved raconteur, Tony. When it was over, I watched it again - it was that enjoyable.

This makes up for Romania. Wink

Ditto to all of the other comments. What a great way to end a season and I can't wait until the next one. The DVR will keep me happy in the meantime between NR and A Cook's Tour!
