got it! I was finally able to TIVO Tony in Korea. I was in the hospital when it first aired and was unable to record it. Nari makes a great foil to Tony. Whe is so upbeat and Tony likes to find the bad in things. Plus, I can preserve Tony at a Karaoke club for all times. Being married to a Filipina, I can understand.

Yea Nari seems like a cool chick, and her Tony are good together, but Nari being the tour of Seoul, Korea made no sense. They should have gotten a native or someone who really knows about the city to show Tony around. I heard people say that Nari is so cute and she made the show so fun, they're missing the point. I'm upset and thought the show STANKED because there's SO MUCH MORE to Seoul than all those places Nari took him to. I was ashamed of that episode and I don't even live there, I visited many times. I am sure that people that really know that city hated that episode even more than I did. Yes, I know hate is a strong word, but that's how I felt about that episode. So PLEASE Tony, go back to Korea and call the episode No Reservations: Korea, without or minus Nari. Seoul deserves it!!!

Dear Tony:
My wife, my son, and I are avid followers of your incredible journeys. We can proudly admit that your enthusiasm and curiocity make a great combination in giving us an insite into a country, resulting in us viewers wanting more with the same kind of enthusiasm and curiocity. However, "Korea" show is one exception to your great collection of journeys. We felt that a few aspects of Korea that you did show were grossly misrepresented by you and your staff in the show. It got so bad that after the show, we were left wondering whether you were really in Korea. Please allow us to take part in your better (not bitter) journey back to Korea. We would be happy to help in any way possible. FYI: Chicken part that you were eating is not "house of pooh" but chicken gizzard. |

Bok -
Yeah, but either Tony (or that other Travel Channel chef) when they went to Korea didn't even talk about that SPECIAL Korean food that you don't like us Americans to know about: DOG MEAT. So if you insist that he goes back to Korea, you wouldn't be doing him right if you didn't sit him down for a bowl of dog soup! Korean pride is okay...but his show is about reality. (Remember when the Korean gov't had them move all the dog food shops off the main drag in Seoul until after the Olympics?) |
