Tony,You have the best food & travel show ever. I always give your book to any of my friends that have children who want to go to culinary institutes..(They think it's easier than real college) I can re-read it & laugh out loud, many times.I started my own culinary career on Nantucket in a fancy pants place... not like the grease pits of Cape Cod, but, as you know, kitchen all the same. Anyway, I'm an old married lady now, crippled up from my own restaurant past. Bringing your wife onto the show burst my bubble! I'm happy for you, though seeing her really broke my heart, wiping out all thoughts of ever meeting such a clever, witty, attractive person as yourself in a kitchen, thirty years ago, somewhere in my fantasyland past. I was very surprised to feel so strongly about this, like a spurned lover, actually. I got over it, though I don't think I will ever see your show the same way again. Fantasy was better than reality. I wish you (more) good luck and look forward to the new season.

I loved it. I was pleasantly surprised at his taste in women. I expected....something different...but she made me believe there's more to Tony than just sex appeal and wit. I have a new respect for him, as if I needed it. It's already my favorite show.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I expected Tony's spouse might be like. Although, I was pretty certain that he wouldn't be married to some vacuous, anorexic, Botox Babe. I was pleasantly surprised that Ottavia is a charming, talkative, raven-haired beauty with a brain. Clearly, she is able to hold her own (and then some) with her husband, which I imagine is no small feat!

No shattered fantasies here, Tony. It's great to know that at the end of the day, you're a regular guy with a fabulous career AND a family that you love.
