This show reminds me of why I don't want to go back to being a saute' cook. I worked in Room Service at a major casino in Las Vegas for 10+ years as a saute' cook. Being one of the only females cooking it was a challenge. It was rare that a female would submit to being saute'. It sure was a trip. Prep, the pace, that waiters, managers, bulters, room chefs, etc...made it one job you love to hate. I had to bail. I understand the whole concept and I feel for his going back. Why he had to go back and do it again is beyond me. I never want to go back. I have nothing to prove anymore. But may what gods there are bless him and keep him.
I'm tired and 50+ years old. I still love to cook but on a slower, calmer and smaller level. I thank and honor all the people who helped me learn as much as I could. A lot of them have died. It seems being a chef takes it toll on people. So take care Tony, I admire your persistence. Keep living large and they way you want. I know I will.....Peace |
