We stayed at a great place near Cows Bay in the Daintree Rainforest. It is called the Coral Sea Views - email: coralseaviews@conxx.com. Each bungalow (there are only 2)feature two hammocks under a covered deck. My husband and I found it very relaxing lounging on the hammocks with our wine & beer. We went during the rainy period (December - March) and enjoyed listening to the rain in the hammocks. The rain never sounded so good! Our host Vaughan is very friendly and helpful. He called around trying to find us a night hike through the rainforst. After three attempts he found someone that would take us even though no-one else had booked a hike. We had a great personal hike just the two of us! We saw lots of dragon lizards, frogs, a noternal kangaroo and a sleeping bird perched on a branch. Brekfest is included toast, ceral, and fruit. Plenty of fresh fruit! All kinds of kiwi, pineapple, papaya, and some I have never heard of. He grows some of the fruit on the property. Try the Lynx hotel for food. The prices are reasonable and the food is very tasty. Vaughan will be happy to recommend good places to eat!
