Apparently - so this article tells me - when you go to Romdeng Restaurant in Phnom Penh. . . you can eat one of Cambodia's specialties:

FRIED TARANTULAS.

And its all for a good cause because Romdeng is run by a non-profit that helps the community.

How much do I feel like a humanitarian today? lol. ..

Check out the article - full of wonderful "fried tarantulas in a bag" photos, haha.

I just returned from Cambodia and had a deep fried tarantula...much to the chagrin of my fellow travelers. Hey, if you there, why not? They eat them and don't die, so I might as well try it.

Guess what?

It was AWESOME!! Crunch and BBQy, the spiders we had were very tasty. The body is the best part. (Its about the size of the pad of your thumb.) Not squishy because its fried.

If you ever get there, you should try it!
