I recently went to Costa Rica with my whole family to visit one of our exchange students and his family. While we were visiting a house near the beach my friend's uncle bought some sea turtle eggs. They were talking about eating them and I wanted to try it so they made me one. You peel open the ping-pong ball like egg and remove the whites. The yolk is then placed in a tall shotglass and filled the rest of the way up with a delicious sauce. It was like a salsa but with a lime juice base. It tasted almost like ceviche. You then drink the shot being careful not to break the yolk because apparently it tastes terrible. I was told that drinking the yolk is like Viagra as it seems to be with most weird foods. I didn't notice any Viagra-like effects but the sauce was incredible. I am having my friend email me his dad's recipe for it so I can make it at home. My friend Jana was brave enough to try one too. Here are a couple of photos.

Funny, most of the strange foods that I saw in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand were all "like Viagra". Ha.
