Supposedly there is a cannon used to take Ruddles Fort, KY- Captain Bird in his report to DePeyster, describes the attack & canon. Upon retreat, the canon fell off the poorly constructed rock and wood plank bridge over the river at Bird's Crossing and supposedly is still there and the object of interest to small boys of the neighborhood for fifty years afterward who went swimming there. It was their ambition to dive into the river and "touch the canon"--

Can you find it?
