I've heard there is a crystal mine in Virginia above Richmond toward Charlottesville. Crystals are important to certain beliefs. Perhaps, you could check this out and mine some crystals there for the show. Thanks.

I'm not familiar w/ the mine you mentioned, but if you're in the Richmond area check this out.

The Moreland Gem Mine is 30 miles SW of Richmond, on Hwy 360 (just before Amelia).
It's a pay to dig highly mineralized pegmatite dike. The mine produces mica, feldspar, beryl, phenakite, amethyst, amazonite ,topaz and garnets.

Here are a couple of roadcuts near you in Goochland County where Monazite crystals have been found.

State Roads 621-623 0.8 miles north of intersection with State Highway 6

and State Roads 621-623 1.0 mile west of intersection with State Highway 6

In my area cuts on state & county roads are open to casual rockhounding, but check local laws. Park legally & safely and never EVER let any debris roll down onto the road.
