Not sure, but from what you wrote, my guess would be the Royal Sonesta Hotel. I'm from around there. Great place located in the French Quarter. Be sure not to miss Coop's and Molly's on the Market. These are two little dive bars on the French Market end of the Quarter across the street from Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. Coop's serves the BEST New Orleans cuisine without the touristy flare. Looks like a crappy place, but I guarantee you will be glad you went!!
