I have been here for 4 months...driving is interesting,It makes New York drivers look good! no warnings when a major traffic jam is occurring. You can end up in traffic for hours. Parking is even more challenging downtown. Park only where it is says..towing is very popular. Be carful where you go in the French Quarter, stay on streets where there are people. The food is awesome, try the crawfish, raw or charbroiled oysters, shrimp. Food is mostly fried, but shrimp & crawfish are boiled in a tasty seasoning which varies from place to place.
