I a have voiced my opinion about the Travel Channels needless exploitation of this tribe and I will continue to. If this show is not removed from the air of free will, then it will be time to expose it to the masses for what it really is. More people will need to get involved....

Travel Channel once again, I plead that you remove this program from the airways.

Travel Channel I plead to you, please keep this show on. It is a fantastic show.

Georgia08 - Have you waged a protest like this against National Geographic? They have published pictorials like this for decades. It appears you are placing western morality on a tribe that has their own moral compass. I would be they didn't have to participate if they chose not too. I for one do not focus on the "nudity". I see a strong community and family structure that maybe the rest of us can benefit from.

If this is exploitation it is done in the most harmless and kind manner. Did you actually watch and listen to the program? Did you walk away with anything from it, or were you just so caugt up in yourself that you missed it all. Please, please get a grip. It is a learning program. Compare it to your everyday world, in the light of day....taking away all the techknowology, they are dealing with the exact same things we are. They may have different demons, but they have the same basic needs as all of us. They have as complex of a system of dealing with lifes everyday troubles and triumphs as we do. Don't you find that amazing. And as far as the nudity goes....what nudity...I was looking at the people, at their eyes, their expressions, their lack of vanity, and their loving hearts,etc.
These are beautiful people, and Mark and Olly did a fantastic job of bringing them to us. They shared the good and the bad in a respectful light. Too bad you are not doing the same. Cudos to them! Its a fantastic show...so sorry you have missed it.

georgia, please don't apply your standards on a group of people soooooo far away that so obviously differs. But go ahead and post more threads (disruptive and non-netiquette)

Flip to some other channel please... if you are thinking about compensation to the Mek in some form of currency that is utterly useless to them you obviously missed the point of the show. They need nothing from us. They want for nothing. Their genuine love for Mark and Olly is what made them special and YOU in particular should learn from that. If you want to pick a bone, try the healthcare system, insurance companies or the government. LEARN FROM THEM. THEY ARE HAPPIER THAN YOU, AND YOU CAN'T STAND IT!

You people say this is a learning program. What can these savages teach you. What did you learn? You didn't learn anything. We teach them not the other way around. I can build a hut out of sticks and leaves. There is no other construction on the island.
