When visiting NYC you must try a New York black & white cookie - they're unlike anything you've ever tasted! They're not quite a cookie, and not exactly a cake, but they sure do melt in your mouth and bring a smile to your face!! When in New York I always go to William Greenberg Jr, Desserts up on Madison Avenue between 82nd & 83rd Streets. Hands down they make the best black & white around for over 60 years (so they're doing something right!). If you have a sweet tooth their other treats are out-of-this-world too!!
