What I'm writing is not a story, sorry I was lucky to figure out how to get to this part.I'm computer handicapped.Anyway,to who it may concern my fiance' and i are getting married on july 11,2009 (
Wedding Vegas).Everybody says we should contact the travel channel to see if they would be interested in this event.my fiance'is reluctant to do this so I figured I would try so here it goes. Our wedding is going to be one of those unique
Maui Weddings. Our friends and relatives are now referring to it as the "Adirondack Wedding".We live in Utica,New York which is in the foothills of the Adirondack National Park.So my fiance's brilliant idea is this.We are going invite our guests to the Utica train station where they will board the newly revived Adirondack Scenic Railroad. The railroad had been out of service for decades and was recently put back into service.once our guests arrive at the Utica train station they will board the train and be greeted by railroad staff in their traditional garb as well as cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and live entertainment.at the back of the train the bridal party will be hidden from the guests in their private newly renovated historic car.from utica the train will take the 30 minute ride to remsen,N.Y.where the groomsmen will be waiting under a white tent with hardwood floor.the guests will come off the train and under the tent. Then the train will move up and the bridal party will exit the train and the ceremony will take place.immediately following the ceremony the guests and wedding party will board the train for the 1 hour ride into the heart of the Adirondack Park to the beautiful town of Old Forge,N.Y.At the Old Forge stop is the extremely old and historic Van Auckens Inn.The reception will take place on the beautiful front porch of the Inn.I think you probrably get the idea by now we hope that you may be interested in being there when we "Tie the Knot"in july at our what we believe will be a very unique event. Thanks for your time.Edward J.
